Angie Preston

Angie (Spradlin) Preston, 77, of Fairborn went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 23, 1944 in Paintsville, KY to the late Raymond and Garcie (Caudill) Spradlin. Angie married the love of her life, Freddie Preston on December 22, 1962 and they had over 58 spectacular years together. She worked as a clerk at K-Mart for a number of years and was a wonderful homemaker. Angie enjoyed playing horseshoes and corn hole, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and working Sudoku puzzles, but her family and her faith were the most important things in her life. She was a devoted member of Miami Valley United Baptist Church for most of her life. Angie left this world the same way she lived; with quiet dignity, beautiful grace, and with a loving smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raymond & Garcie; four sisters: Charlestine (Spradlin) Hayden, Pansy (Spradlin) Preston, Phyllis Spradlin, Pamila Spradlin; three brothers: Raymond Clifford Spradlin, Palmer T. Spradlin and Randall C. Spradlin. Angie is survived by her dear husband, Freddie; a son and daughter-in-law: Fred Timothy and Marlene Preston of Surfside Beach, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law: Letitia and Perry Conley of Fairborn, OH, Medina and Brad Moore of Springfield, OH; one sister: Ramona (Spradlin) Webb of Oil Springs, KY; seven grandchildren: Annie (Sam) Freidet, Curtis Preston, Kristen (Rick) Robinson, Brittany (Shane) Smith, Preston (Olivia) Conley, Adrianna Moore, and Austin Moore; seven great grandchildren: Marlee & Elias Preston, Nolan, Lincoln, & Easton Robinson, Riley & Asher Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family who will miss Angie forever. A funeral service will be held at Miami Valley United Baptist Church, 660 W. Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, OH 45387, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow the service in Byron Cemetery. Friends and Family may also call during a visitation on Friday, October 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, also in the church. Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, is assisting the family with Angie’s final wishes.
