Audrey "Jean" Schwab

Audrey “Jean” Schwab, 91, of Enon, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023. She was born on November 23, 1931 in Sydney, KY, the second child of the late Daniel and Pearlie (West) May. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters: Delilah Bevins, Mary Ellen Williamson, Virginia Ann May Blackburn, and Faye Smith; three brothers: John May, Burgess May and Bobby May. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James Schwab of Enon; a daughter and son-in-law, Teressa (Jay) Lewis of Beavercreek, OH; two sons and daughters-in-law, James (Donna) Schwab of Durham, NC, and Timothy (Diana) Schwab of Port Angeles, WA. Jean also leaves behind a sister, Linda (Randall) Caudill of Jeremiah, KY, and a brother, Danny (Ercie) May of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, as well as nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, in addition to many friends who will miss her dearly. On January 29, 1955 Jean married the love of her life and they enjoyed 68 years together. She loved God and her church family. Her involvement with Person to Person Evangelism (P2P) was especially important to her. Every summer, she and Jim attended Family Camp at Restoration Acres in Hillsboro, OH, where they made many lifelong friends around the campfire. They had a camper there and spent many weeks on the grounds while Jim was the caretaker. They also traveled to conferences in nearby states, assisting in media recording and production for P2P. Jean was a current member of the Fairborn First Church of Christ and previously, a longtime member of the Enon Church of Christ. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 13, 2023 in the New Beginnings Christian Church, 7345 Dayton-Springfield Road, Enon, with Steve Sisco and Kerry Allen officiating. Friends and family may also pay their respects at a visitation on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, also in the church.
