Donna Bridgett Current September 10, 1946 – May 13, 2025 Donna Bridgett Current, 78, of Enon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Born on September 10, 1946, to James and Martha (Miller) Bridgett, Donna lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community. She is survived by her three children: Darren Current and his wife Melissa, Crystal (Current) Phillips and her husband George, and Anna (Current) Greenwald and her husband Joshua. Donna also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Lucas, Graceland, Livinia, Nixie, and Ellonna, as well as two beloved great-grandchildren, Hunter and Madison. She is also survived by her siblings: James Bridgett, Richard Bridgett, Sandra Bridgett, Kathy (Bridgett) Hatfield, sister-in-law Vicki Bridgett, and sister-in-law Mary Current, along with many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years, Carl Current, and her siblings: Judith (Bridgett) Harrison, Patricia (Bridgett) Kerns, Roger “Jack” Bridgett, Scott Bridgett, Rebecca Bridgett, and brother-in-law Ed Current. A wise and patient woman, Donna was deeply devoted to her family and always willing to lend a helping hand. She graduated from Yellow Springs High School in 1964 and worked at Kettering Labs in Yellow Springs for several years. Later, she worked for 20 years in the deli and meat department at Tom’s Market, where her warm personality and great sense of humor left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. Outside of work, Donna found joy in tending to her garden and spending time in nature, which she also liked to photograph. She treasured making memories with her children and grandchildren, whether playing in the backyard or taking trips to Lake Erie. Donna was a talented cook who enjoyed canning peaches and creating her own preserves. Donna was an expert bowler and played in a league at the Yellow Springs bowling alley. She was also an avid fan of classic cars, especially fast ones. Her love, kindness, and strength were a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends. Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Arbor Day Foundation. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am, Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. Burial will follow the service in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 Wednesday in the funeral home. Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, is assisting Donna’s family with her final wishes.
