Retha Ann Tirpack

Retha Ann Tirpack, 80, of Enon passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. She was born February 24, 1942, in Corning, Ohio to the late Wayman and Mary Quigley Towner. She attended Ohio University, where she met Boris, and earned a teacher’s certificate. She worked at Ohio State University and was the second employee at Wright State University, as the Assistant Dean of Admissions. Later, she worked at Pearson Associates, ComDisco & retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Retha was a member of the Mary Help of Christians Church. She enjoyed going to the theater, reading, cross-stitching, gardening & spending time and lunching with her theater girlfriends. She was active in Girl Scouts and was the Troop leader for Troop 1150, which she took on a trip to England in 1989. She was active with the Greater Dayton Corvette Club, where she served as editor for many years. Also, along with Boris, was a member of the Western Ohio Region, Sports Car Club of America, where she supported Boris’ racing hobby. She enjoyed visiting her son, Rob, in Anchorage, Alaska & her daughter, Tiffany, in Colorado, along with their families & her grandchildren. Retha is survived by her husband, Boris Tirpack, whom she married in 1964, a son and daughter-in-law; Robert and Kelly Tirpack of Anchorage, Alaska, a daughter and son-in-law; Tiffany and David Spear of Lafayette, Colorado, a twin brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jennie Towner of New Lexington, Ohio, five grandchildren; Cameron, Cody, Maya, Max and Eli, and numerous family and friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 10:30 am at Mary Help of Christians Church, Fairborn, Ohio, with Father Ambrose Debrozsi officiating. Burial to follow the Mass at Enon Cemetery. Retha was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and battled the disease for many years.
