Rua Eileen (Lipscomb) Sewell

Rua Eileen (Lipscomb) Sewell, 93, of Enon passed through the pearly gates of heaven into the loving arms of Jesus, Saturday, January 8, 2022. Rua was born August 26, 1928 in Dayton to Frederick D. Lipscomb and Mildred M. (Lipscomb) Bullock. Rua and her husband Harold (Rip), who she loved with all her heart, were married March 9, 1946 (69 years) on Harold’s birthday. Rua and Harold, moved many times in their retirement years. They lived in Delaware, South Carolina, and Florida before they returned to their home in Ohio. They had many wonderful adventures together with family and special friends. Rua leaves a son, Jimmy and (Kathy) Sewell of Enon, a daughter, Deborah and (Jim) Brown of Enon, five grandchildren, Starr Butler, Dena Brown, Jamey Brown, Jennifer (Steve) Lookabaugh, and Roy (Sandy) Sewell. Rua had 7 siblings and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, three brothers, William, Jerry and Richard, three sisters, Yvonne, Mildred, Linnis, and a granddaughter, Julie Sewell. Norma King (Don) of Xenia is the last surviving sister. Rua has eight great grandchildren, Amber, Derek, Kristina, Roy Jr., Mathew, Andrew, Kate and Olivia and four great-great grandchildren, Oliver, Isabella, Leo and Delta along with numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and very special friends including Margaret Redden and family and too many others to mention, who loved her very much. Rua loved and served the Lord faithfully and shared her faith with whoever would listen. She always had a smile and never knew a stranger. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, a beautiful Soprano singer for Jesus, she was a Sunday School teacher and a very cherished friend of many. You could always find her helping someone by praying for them, physically helping them or just calling to encourage them. Her faith, love and strength made her the very special person she was. She remained joyful and happy through many trials through her life and prayed daily for her family. She always drew happy faces on her cards and letters to remind you to be happy! 😊 She always told the kids: “Happy Face, Jesus loves You.” Rua loved to go to church, she was a member of West Enon Church of God in Enon where she had loving support and many caring friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all those who cared and prayed for her during her recent illness. She loved you all very much. Her greatest hope and prayer would be to see you in heaven someday. She is now reaping the rewards of a life well lived for God! Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
