Shirley Ann Burba

July 27, 1940 – April 23, 2025 With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Shirley Ann Burba, who departed this world on April 23, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by the compassionate care of Ohio’s Hospice in Dayton. Born on July 27, 1940, in Montgomery County, Ohio, Shirley lived a life defined by selflessness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She served her country with pride as a civil servant at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and later brought that same dedication and warmth to her work at Kroger before retiring. Shirley’s heart was the truest reflection of her gentle spirit—kind, caring, and endlessly loving. She lived for her family and found her greatest joy in their company. Whether she was taking her grandchildren to festivals, indulging them in sweet treats, or shopping with them at the mall, she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edison and Nondas Molen; her children, Barb Howard, Mark Burba, and Mike Burba; her grandson, Michael Cahill; her siblings, Gene, Sandy, and Eddie; grand pups, Patches, Josie, Lucky. Though the heartache of these losses was profound, Shirley carried her love for them every day and found strength in the precious memories they left behind. Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the lives of her devoted daughters, Linda (Bobby) Marsh and Peggy (Jim) Nott; her cherished grandchildren, Tammy, Jerry, Amber, and Joey; and her adored great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alexis, Summer, Emma, Hailee, Savannah, Evelyn, Audrey and Oliver, and her grand-dog, Angel. She is also survived by her loving brothers, Ronnie Molen and Larry Molen, who held a special place in her heart. Shirley’s love was a constant—steadfast, sweet, and unconditional. She will be remembered not just for her warm hugs or her joy in simple pleasures, but for the way she made each of us feel—seen, supported, and loved without limits. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but her light will continue to shine through the family she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely. A funeral service honoring Shirley’s life will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:30 at Adkins Funeral Home, Enon OH with a visitation for one hour prior (10:30-11:30). Burial to follow at Enon Cemetery.
