Betty J. Lewis Binder, 90, of Enon passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio. She was born March 26, 1929, in Zelienople, Pennsylvania to the late John J. and Loretta E. (Majors) Lewis. Betty worked for the Civil Service for over 28 years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio as a Secretary in Base Housing and in the Office of Admissions at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Betty received numerous Letters of Appreciation and Special Act/Service Awards during her career. Never one at a loss for words, Betty was witty, light hearted, had an excellent sense of humor and when all else failed be prepared for some quirky facial expressions. Betty was exceptionally loving and caring, always put her family first. Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting, and cross-stitching. Betty is survived by her brother, Walter Lewis, three daughters and one son; namely, Debra (Bernard) Winner of Enon, Dorene (George) Meinke of Beavercreek, Denise (Dane) Coyle of New Carlisle, Anthony “Tony” (Kendall) Rubino of Beavercreek, 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Edward, John, Irene, and Loretta. A visitation will be held 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday, September 16, 2019 at Mary Help of Christians Church, Fairborn, Ohio with Father Nevels celebrant.
