Daniel "Mello" Nelson

Daniel “Mello” Steven Lamar Nelson, 29, of Xenia formally Marietta Georgia, passed away suddenly on September 8, 2023, in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on July 9, 1994, to Tisha Nelson in Jackson, Mississippi. Mello enjoyed being with his family, especially his three beautiful children, he enjoyed hiking, fishing and watching scary movies. He worked in the Tree Care business where he was such a hard worker and was a business owner for many years of ADM Stump Removal . He was a loving, caring and funny crazy kind of man and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by, his Grandma Shirley Brown, Grandpa Steve Nelson, Great Great Grandma Mary Bell, Great Great Grandpa Earnest Bell, Great Aunt Benita Marsden, beautiful nephew Christopher Allen Haney III, special Mom Meme, and Lawerence Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his Mother Tisha Nelson (Michael) of Xenia, his Dad William Harper of Atlanta Georgia, his 3 children; Alayna Nelson (mother Gina Jones) of Fairborn, Daniel Nelson Jr, and Marlee Nelson; his Fiancé Devin Knotts-Nelson (Chelsea Hostler) all of Xenia. Brother’s William “Chance” Nelson of Marietta, Georgia, Justin Hinkle(Mallori) of Jamestown, George Taylor (Samantha) of Xenia, two sister Caylee Nelson (Chris) of Fairborn, Destiny Elliott of Moraine, Great Grandma Nana Esther Everitt, Great Grandpa Papa Gary Everitt both of Xenia, Mawmaw Kem Jenkins of Xenia, Aunts Sasha Dillion (Paul) of Marietta, Georgia, Rena Brown of Marietta, Georgia, TeEdika Thorpe of Xenia, Kandi Lane-Asberry (Lonnie) of Fairborn, Kendra Lane (Jeffrey) of Xenia, and one Uncle KeiVaughn Lane (Madison) of Beavercreek, a niece, Naomi Elliott, cousins Alyssia Elchols, Aaron Gatewood Jr., Kei'Sean Nelson, Ja'Brai Bey, Kashyus Hoyt, Sa'Miyah Taylor all of Xenia, Martas Dearmond of Springfield, Nate McCollum, Christian McCollum, Mallory McCollum, Richard Brown Daniels(Jeed) Pops, all of Marietta, Georgia, Great Cousin, Cameron Echols of Xenia, his tree family Tyler Riley, Aaron Hill, Randy Graham, Stefan Hill, Jerimiha Stringfellow, Cody Locke, and TC Bowshier all of Springfield. Special Family friends Jacquee Pullums, Racquell Pullums, Eve Kutzli and Josh Kutzli all of Marietta, Georgia and other host of family and friends. Adkins Funeral Home, Enon will be assisting Mello’s family with his final wishes. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 1180 Upper Bellbrook Rd Xenia, Ohio 45385 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Services will follow at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to help with funeral expenses.
