June Elizabeth Allen

June Elizabeth Allen (Lorentz), 71, of Enon passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at SOIN Medical Center in Beavercreek. She was born September 25, 1947 in Edenton, Ohio to the late John and Madeline Lorentz. June was part of a large family, and her experience of managing a large group excelled her into the loving and attentive matriarch of her own family created with her husband. She would never turn down someone in need. Her delight came from being someone who you could talk to about anything and her advice was worth its weight in gold. A proud homemaker, June would never let anyone go without. Her home was everyone's home. June is survived by her husband, Donald Allen, whom she was happily married to for over 53 years, four children; Trudy and Michael Thomas of Xenia, Jeffrey and Laura Allen of Enon, Diana Mefford of Enon, Ryan and Morgan Allen of Enon, an adopted daughter, Amanda Richendollar of Enon, seven grandchildren; Heather and Robert Powell, Rachel Thomas, Nichole Allen, Dakota and Michael Brickman, Johnathan Eckler-Allen, Patrick Eckler-Allen, and Madison Jaymes Elizabeth Allen, two great grandchildren; Lydia & Amelia Powell, brother; Donald Lorentz, and two sisters; Betty Carmen and Jeanette (Jeanie) Lorentz. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Foundation and/or the James Cancer Research Center in Columbus, Ohio, Ohio State University. Message from her family: “June, wife and mother, you were our beacon in the storm. Although our path wasn’t always the smoothest, you never let us lose our direction. You were always on the move, keeping all of us in a happy home. During these past years that you had lost your ability to be as active as you always were, we never felt any different towards you. You would apologize for not being able to do the things that you had always done; but your apologies were unnecessary. We loved you unconditionally, and it had no foundation of what you were able or unable to do for us. It was you, and only you that we cared for and loved, and we would trade the world just for a couple more hours with you. We are taking comfort in the fact that your earthly body was only a vessel, and we know that you are no longer in pain. We will be reunited soon. We love you.”
