Martha A. Benton, 64, of Saint Parris passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 in Urbana. She was born November 26, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Shirley “Jack” Walters and Angeline Rowland Gatton. Martha is survived by her husband, James Benton, two daughters; Angeline and Matthew Green of Springfield, Rosetta and Nathan Welbaun of St. Paris, a sister, Tammie Wardlow of Springfield, a brother, Shirley “Jack” Walters, Jr., of Enon, eleven grandchildren, numerous family and friends. Service will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Adkins Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Martha’s family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Adkins Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
