Sutton Grace Willow Stambaugh

Our precocious, vibrant, wild, and loving Buggy Girl, Sutton Grace Willow Stambaugh, 3 of Enon, born January 20, 2017, tragically passed away. She was deeply loved by her parents, Brian S. and Heather J. (Horne) Stambaugh. She was a phenomenal and proud “Big Zus” to Carter Belle Rowan. Bursting with pride at her every achievement were her beloved Mimi, Loretta Stambaugh of Springfield, and her beloved Gigi and Pepper, Sharon and Wendell Horne of Enon. Additional members of her large cheering section were her uncle Brandon Stambaugh and cousin Jesse Stambaugh, both of Springfield, as well as her great grandpa Paul Snyder, of Enon. Always looking out for her were her great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her best friends were her beloved canine companion, Annabel Lee, and dearest neighbors, Mr. Dale, Miss Loene, and Bentley. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William Stambaugh, and great grandparents. Sutton Grace was a force of life and nature who drew you in and made you love her. She had so many accomplishments in her short life: she met and was photographed with numerous Cincinnati Reds (although Joey Votto eluded her), attended more major and minor league baseball games than she could count, served up the best imaginary ice creams (and ate her fair share of real ones too), patrolled the neighborhood, and had learned to ride her tricycle! We appreciate the efforts of our dear neighbors, Enon Mad River emergency services, Enon Police, and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the valiant efforts of the Dayton Children’s Emergency room. The unparalleled love and care from our family and friends has been astounding. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 7:00 PM in First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, OH. Friends and family may call during a visitation prior to the service from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday as well, also in the church. The family asks that attendees honor Sutton Grace’s spirit by wearing their favorite Disney-themed, Reds-themed, or super hero themed items. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sutton Grace Willow Memorial Fund (Security/Park National Bank). Adkins Funeral Home in Enon is assisting the family with Sutton’s arrangements.
