Lawrence E. Walls Sr.

Lawrence E. Walls Sr. “Larry”, 87, of South Vienna, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1938, to the late Cecil and Helen (Proctor) Walls, of Springfield, Ohio. Larry served and retired 34 years as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He also retired from the Ohio Masonic home where he served as a security guard. He enjoyed tinkering with RC airplanes and was a lifetime “General Class” HAM radio operator. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the lawn, and dabbling in the flower beds and garden. He enjoyed going to church at First Christian Church and was a member of the Mason Lodge 619. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his loving wife Helen L. (Melotte) Walls, his sons Lawrence Jr “Nachshon” Walls of Kafir Tauph, Israel and Jerry Walls of Springfield, Ohio, four brothers; Marion Walls, Merle Walls, Jackson Walls and Harry Walls and three sisters Marjorie Graham, Donna Cox and Patricia Bussard all of Springfield Ohio and his great granddaughter Alexandria. Larry leaves behind his only granddaughter; Teresa (Walls) Bruner and her husband Andy. His great grandchildren Isaiah, Cheyenne, Jacob and Destiny. His sister Phyllis Kuntz of Tallahassee, Florida and his brother Ronald Walls of South Charleston, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews. Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He gave credit for his success in life to his upbringing by a strong-willed mother and a hard-working father in a large traditional American family and by putting his faith in God. He was a lifelong reader and loved learning new things. Throughout his life, he encouraged thoughtful, and sometimes spirited discussions among his family and friends about politics, religion and contemporary events. He was loved by many. Adkins Funeral Home in Enon will be assisting Larry’s family with his final wishes. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the funeral home from 5-7PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the funeral home with Earl Littman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in the Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice 360 (3129 Research Blvd #150, Dayton, Ohio 45420). The family would like to thank, with sincere gratitude, his staff at Hospice 360; Jordan (RN), Paige (LPN), Christina (LPN), Jonathan (LPN), Lauren (STNA), Chloe (SW) and Ashray (Chaplain).
